![]() 27 For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 26 So, if they say to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. 24 For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. 23 Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short. 22 And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. 19 And alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! 20 Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath. 17 Let the one who is on the housetop not go down to take what is in his house, 18 and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.ġ5 “So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved. 12 And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. 11 And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. 10 And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. 8 All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.ĩ “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. ![]() 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. 5 For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. 2 But he answered them, “You see all these, do you not? Truly, I say to you, there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.”ģ As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” 4 And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray. 15 So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the traditions that you were taught by us, either by our spoken word or by our letter.ġ6 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, 17 comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.Ģ4:1 Jesus left the temple and was going away, when his disciples came to point out to him the buildings of the temple. 14 To this he called you through our gospel, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. ![]() 11 Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, 12 in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.ġ3 But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you as the firstfruits to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth. 9 The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, 10 and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. 5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 6 And you know what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. 2:1 Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you, brothers, 2 not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.
